About Isaac Ashley Young

An accomplished educational leader and administrator, Dr. Isaac Ashley Young brings more than two decades of experience to his position as an employment counselor with the Mid-Atlantic States Career & Education Center in Pennsville, New Jersey. In this position, he guides a parole employment placement program for ex-offenders and individuals with disabilities by forging partnerships with local employers and coaching clients on interview, job-retention, and life skills. During his time in this role, Dr. Isaac Ashley Young has consistently led the organization in terms of placement rate.

Prior to his current position, Dr. Young held a number of leadership roles with municipal and educational institutions as a member of Temple University's Academic Advisory Board in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Director of neighborhood preservation and small cities programs for the City of Salem, NJ and as director of Salem County's Youth Services Commission and Mental Health Board. He also has experience as a middle school teacher in the Salem school district.

Dr. Young earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Cheyney University in Cheyney, Pennsylvania, before going on to complete a master’s degree in student personnel services at Rowan University and an MBA in management at Temple University. He also holds an Ed. D. in innovation and leadership from Wilmington University and additional New Jersey certificates of eligibility in school business administration and as a principal.
